I am in Stockholm, Sweden on the Valle Scholarship and Exchange Fellowship from April through June. Actually, I’m hoping to be in many other cities during this time too! My home-base will be in Stockholm though.
I am officially studying “High Performance Hospitals” — those that are a good environment for people to be in and are also better for the environment. Unofficially, I’m here to experience Scandinavia, Europe, culture, architecture, health, healing, and life. What could be better?
I’ve set up this site as my “un-official” travel site for friends and family. I’ll also have my professional site that I’ll send along to you also.
I hope that you’ll follow my journey with me — this is such a wonderful opportunity and I feel so fortunate to be in this place and position. The hardest part for me is being away from all of my close friends and family — so in this very small way, hopefully we can make this big world feel a tiny bit smaller.

Hi, Heather!
I just browsed your site. I enjoyed the Goteborg photos and look forward to more from your extended travels. I don’t know if you’re aware that my mom’s mother’s (OMA)
parents came to the US from Bremen Germany.
Your onebythree pictures are great. I especially liked the curling, the room in Goteborg, the building with curves, and the Bremen Town Musicians.
I’m glad you have your new camera. Point and pray seems to have worked for you, but I imagine it’s a bit stressful.
Love, Mom
